Placenta Services
What if you could increase your chances of having a great postpartum recovery?
What if you could have more energy, recover from birth quicker, and increase your milk
supply?
What if you could decrease your risk of postpartum depression?
These are just a few of the many possible benefits of placenta encapsulation!
The Process
Good Hands Doula Services handles each plancenta with respect, and care. Upon
receiving your placenta, we inspect it for any potential issues or concerns. We take
notes for our records and weigh the placenta before gently steaming it, slicing and
dehydrating it. We then grind it into a fine powder and put it into capsules for you to take,
all the while maintaining the highest standards.

My background and credentials
I have been trained in the art of placenta encapsulation and performing them for the past
2 years. I always observe safe handling procedures that follow Universal Precautions
and the OSHA Blood-Borne Pathogen Standard which includes wearing non-latex
gloves and using a sterile work area, and sterile, independent equipment. I carry a food
handlers permit and safety card. I am currently cross-certifying with APPA (Association
of Placenta Preparation Arts) and expect to be completing certification early 2017.
*I process each placenta in my separate commercial placenta kitchen dedicated solely
for the use of processing placentas. If you desire to have your placenta processed in
your home, let us know! We can bring our mobile eqipment out to you if you'd prefer.
We strive to be the best and offer full transparency. We only process one placenta at a
time and label each one throughout the process so there is no chance of a mix up and
receiving someone elses placenta. If at any time, you have questions about the
process, let us know and we can talk about it in detail.
